In the "Performing Text" seminar, conceptualized by Hend Elbalouty, participants work with text and movements, utilizing text to generate movements that articulate our emotions and allow them to be evoked.
The theme of Fantasy and daydreaming serves as the backdrop for our creative writing and movement improvisation. Collaboratively, we craft fantasy personas and delve into numerous daydreams. This introspective journey examines our personal motivations, exploring how we engage in fantasies and daydreams. Do we employ them for escapism or to bring our aspirations to life? To address this question, we employ our bodies, voices, words, imagination, and technical skills.
Central to our approach is the notion of play as a vehicle for creativity. We collectively establish our own rules and let these rules shape the realm of possibilities,
